El éxito de Sutter Cane, un famoso escritor de novelas de terror, no tiene parangón. Pero, inesperadamente, poco antes de entregar a su editor su última novela, desaparece sin dejar rastro. Al mismo tiempo, algunos de sus fans se están volviéndo inexplicablemente violentos.
