Sinopsis:

En marzo de 1991, el capitán Archie Gates, los sargentos Troy Barlow y Chief Elgin y el soldado Conrad Vig matan el tiempo en el desierto iraquí mientras aguardan el fin de la guerra y la vuelta a la aburrida y desesperanzada vida civil. Pero la monotonía se rompe cuando descubren un mapa que indica el lugar donde se encuentra una reserva de oro kuwaití robada por los iraquíes. Inmediatamente, los cuatro deciden buscar el tesoro. Pero, mientras lo hacen, van descubriendo cuáles son las condiciones de vida del pueblo iraquí y, a partir de entonces, la búsqueda del tesoro se convertirá en una historia de redención que los cambiará profundamente y pondrá a prueba su humanidad.
